About Hawkes Bay

The Hawkes Bay Region offers stunning architecture and world-famous wineries in a Mediterranean climate

Hawke’s Bay is New Zealand's oldest winemaking region and the leading producer of award winning red wines.
Of course it's not all about what you can drink though. There's plenty of trout fishing, not to mention golf courses, hunting in the ranges, beaches, loads of sun and an unbelievable amount of Art Deco architecture (so much so that you might feel like you're in a time warp).

Most locals live in either Napier or Hastings. But if you like to live somewhere that feels more contemporary than provincial, you might prefer Havelock North (it's closer to all the wineries too).
